Do you need to know exactly how much hay you are feeding your horse? This needs to be done by weighing your hay. It can't be accurately determined on volume given the number of variables that come into play. Type of grass, moisture content when baled, type of baler, size of bales made, so many things! Take the guess work out of how much you are feeding by using scales.  

These scales can also be used to weigh your horse feed to ensure you are feeding the correct amount. This is very valuable information when working out your horse's diet to ensure you're getting the best value for money, you're feeding the recommended amounts so you get the right results. This info can also be useful to provide to your vet or nutritionist. 

Easy to use

• Put your hay in the hay net, hook the hay net on to the hook, lift slowly and hold steady and the weight will 'lock' on the screen. To reset, press the tare button
• To weigh horse feed, put the feed into a plastic zip lock bag or similar with a hole in it to put your hook through, hook the bag, lift slowly and hold steady and the weight will 'lock' on the screen. To reset, press the tare button

These electronic scales are advertised as being capable of weighing up to a maximum of 50kg HOWEVER I would recommend, to ensure the longevity of the hook and plastic handle on the device, you keep things you are weighing under this.
